Cover Letter
Here is the link to my (and Madison's) Prezi. Neither Madison nor I had ever made a Prezi before, and I'll admit that it is definitely hardher than I thought it was going to be. But I did as much research/tutorials as possible and tried as best I could to utilize the presentation style as best I could. From our project, I really liked the templates that allowed you to put information side by side. Visually, I believe it put emphasis on the drastic changes that have occurred in literacy in the last 100 years. Also, unlike in a paper, it allowed us to be creative in how we separated ideas, and put emphasis on our thesis. That is why we repeated our thesis in a whole separate box. Also, I really liked the globe I was able to make, and edit in the information/percentages. If given more time, I would have liked to think about how we could have put more "us" into the paper, however we found that kind of difficult to do because the main point is about how much literacy has evoloved, thus making it less appreciated, yet Madison and I have only been on this earth for ~18 years, making it difficult to make comparisons to our own lives. Also, if given more time, I would have liked to get more creative in the graphics and see what else I could have done with Prezi. Also I would have like to connect out fact boxes with more text. I am concerned a little however, that the twists and turns are more distracting, than interesting. However, as student, I think it would be refreshing to see a new type of presentation, a breakaway from your average powerpoint. For the most part, we/I am pretty proud of out presentation, it's defintely not perfect, but it is probably the most informative project/paper I've ever written. I hope you enjoy a new kind of presentation. It was a lot of frustration and confusion, but fun.
